From Sandbox to Scale: What Does It Take for Financial Innovation to Become Infrastructure?
Forum StageMain StageOpen
À propos de cette session
A sandbox can show that a financial product works under controlled conditions. It does not prove that the product can survive licensing, integrate with existing institutions, win customer trust or expand into another jurisdiction. The harder question is what happens after testing ends. The panel examines the conditions that should allow an innovation to move from experiment to licensed market participant, including infrastructure access, capital, governance and regulatory readiness. It also explores a more difficult possibility: whether successful testing in one credible jurisdiction can reduce the cost of entering another, and what regulators would need to recognise in each other's processes before regulatory portability becomes possible.

What Makes Innovation Scale? Regulation, Capital and Trust in Emerging Markets
RoundtableOpen
À propos de cette session
Many promising financial companies do not fail because the product is weak. They fail between early proof and meaningful scale. Growth capital becomes harder to secure, institutional partners hesitate to integrate with younger firms, and entering each new market can require rebuilding relationships, compliance processes and distribution from scratch. This roundtable focuses on that scale gap. It asks which forms of capital are missing after the early stages, what would make banks and other large institutions more willing to partner with growth-stage providers, what governance, leadership and skills those providers need to earn that trust, and which shared infrastructure or market-access mechanisms could reduce the cost of expanding across emerging markets.
